Lalkitab Review - 3

Nice review written on LK, any traditional astrologer whenever reads this book first time, similar doubts comes in the mind as you have mentioned.

[sreenadhji]//"Lalkitab system is nothing but an expert shortcut system to AIA".//

I accept this statement partially. Actually it looks like a personal notebook of an experienced and expert astrologer, noted a collection of thumb rule for any combination he found to be effective at good persentage within his reach of his clientable. Hence it looks like a short-cut.
But actually Its basically works on the principle of visible symptoms of the native.
For say when a patient comes to doctor he verifies clinically symptoms, laboratory reports etc to give his own final statement about the disease.

//For example to know whether there is any problem to the body at the time of birth, we check the signs starting from Aries considering Aries as head, Taurus as face and so on (The base quotes using being "Kalangani varangam anana muro....." from Brihat Jataka and "Kala narasyavayaval purushanam kalpayel presavakale..." from saravali). And also we check the houses starting from Lagna considering Lagna as head, 2nd house as face and so on. (The base quote being "Murtha Asya gala skandha...." found in Jaka Adesa Marga and many other texts). This technique of checking the horoscopes starting from Aries as well as Lagna is used extensively in AIA in almost every situation. Thus in truth the Aries signify lagna and Lagna signify Aries.
Therefore LK system combines these two things into one saying that - the signs should be counted from Lagna. Thus Lagna is considered similar to Aries, 2nd house similar to Taurus, 3rd house similar to Gemini and so on. And this is how the signs gets dropped in LK, but still being used in another way! I would say that it is an excellent shortcut approach, worth studying. (LK at any time does not seems to have given much importance to Nakshatras, so that is not considered here) //

LK has used only standard house and planet relationship, discarding all other panchangas values. This main reason was to bring a coherent relationship between Palm and horoscope.
It is not a short-cut. The centre spread of the palm is divided into 12 House divisions and various line and symbols signifies the relationship between planets and houses. This a very unique concept, a unique theory, to make horoscope from palm, only available with LK This technique we are not finding in AIA, hence we can say due to lack to this type of knowledge in AIA, it is not compatible with AIA. For eg, there is two Mars distinctly mentioned everywhere in LK, 'Mangal Nek' and 'Mangal Badh', non-compatible with the literature of AIA.
The palm basically signifies the mental and emotional states of person or 'Bhava' and appreances of line and symbols indicated the influnce of 'Graha' on the native in the palm, hence only 'Bhava - Graha' relationship is considered in LK.
This theory in LK is further extended to Phrenology, face reading. foot reading, house (home) reading. Horoscopic values are not very important, many time it is overruled by the house-planet relationship indicated by the palm.

[sreenadhji]//I think this would a good point to introduce the concept of own house, exaltation, debilitation, planet of luck, planet of planet result, and planet of sign result related to every house as per LK and to provide a comparison of that against AIA perspective.
Note: Usually the `planet of luck' is a planet which has either the lordship or exaltation in that house.

First of all i will like to say that LK has given some set of rule to find the planet of Luck. (see Khana no.1 in LK-42), The most important factor is that among many planet only that planet which is most 'Qayam' (Stable) becomes the planet of luck. This should be visibily verified through palm, home, face readings, etc. Not only through basic horoscope made through birth details.

35 year dasa cycle itself is unique, 36-years sign dasa cycle is based on fingers \ phalanges divisions.

Neither yogini dasa is used, nor vimsottari direct concept is used.

Intrinsic meaning of exaltation\ debilitation does not at all matches with AIA, even if we consider Kalpurush kundli.

I think LK is the longest approach towards predictive astrology and its unique versatile approach combining, coherently many other streams of astrology into one, makes this non-compatible with AIA due to lack of literature.

[sreenadh ji]//as per  Lalkitab planets change significance when they change house. For example Moonin 4th house 
<sup>indicate mother, in 6th indicate maternal grand mother, in 8th indicate elder aunt, in 10th younger aunt etc. But may be instead of assuming that planet is changing significance as they change house, we can explain it better if we assume that the house signify such relatives and the results are getting visible through the planets situated there. //

In LK, significance plays a major roles, and above statement is correct as per LK.

[sreenadhji] //Beneficial and Maleficial planets: LK does not consider any planet as inherently benefic or malefic. It says that every planet is capable of giving benefic or malefic results. (We should accept that this approach is logically correct and excellent) But this is introduces a new difficulty and complexity, and thus one of the most difficult areas in LK to master. Because there are numerous such rules are there which determine whether a planet is benefic or malefic in the given chart. "Such rules are too many. For each planet there are different rules, depending on which house the planet is and which other planets influence it. These rules are both for benefic and malefic results of that planet." So what makes a planet benefic or malefic as per LK? The answer would be – "The planetary placement and interrelationships of the planets. And most importantly, the jatak's way of life, habits, moral, attitude towards religion, relationships with other family members etc. e.g if some one insults his father, teacher or a purohit his jupiter will act as malefic even if it may be placed in the 4th house [exalted] and so on."

This is most important and most complex part of Lal-Kitab. Here what we say check the visible symptoms of the planets, their influence on the native.

[sreenadhji]//The concept of Dridha and Adhridha results is present in lalkitab system as well. As accepted in AIA Dridha results cannot be modified or changed with remedies but Adridha results can. But there is something special in deciding which are dridha and which are adridha results. Let me explain it a bit. As per LK every house is assigned one or more planets which indicate `planet of sign results' (rasiphal ka grah) and `planet of planet results' (grahaphal ka grah). It is said that `Planet of planet results' indicate dridha results and `planet of sign results' indicate adridha results. The remedies are said to work only for adridha results, i.e. results indicated by `planet of sign results'. Or in other words – "those planets which are considered as of `grah phal' are of dridha results and no upaya can be done for those planets. Those planets which are considered of `rasi phal' in a house are of adhridha results and an upaya can be done for them". //

This is again not easy to find out, many exception are there in the LK.

I have heard of two persons in Rajasthan one was in Alwar who used to erect horoscope from Palm, even zodiac sign of Lagna, never used birth details, and he kept that secret technique with him. The other one i think was from Bhilwara ( maybe i forgot now).
There are many sisyas of late Archarya Raj (well known palmist and astrologer, gone through LK) in Bikaner, they have their owm set of thumb rules to embrasses anyone, only from a basic horoscope, which is similar to LK.

The best part to compare LK with AIA is to consider only those verses where only house and planetary relationship is discussed.
There is some literature in AIA where moles and planatary relatioship is discussed that too can be compared with LK.
Other comparision may not be fruitful.

LK has used many different approach towards remedies, few i am mentioning :
1) like pacifying the Manda planet through donation, sewa (service) etc
2) Symbollically establishing or removing the effect of the planets through their objects. This type of concept is used in yantra-tantra. This is too much confusing and not readily acceptable by AIA.
3) By improving one's nature and refraining from those bad habit as indicated by the LK reading.
4) Sometime making the person very practical like for Jupiter in 10H person should become shrewd else his own people will cheat him everytime due to his generosity.

  That was a very beautiful and informative mail. Thanks for sharing.
  As you rightly point out there could be many areas that seem to be non-compatible. But let have a deep study specially regarding the areas which can be readily identified as compatible first.  Then new light and realizations about the other parts may also sprung up or may be not. But any how this would be a worthy learning experience.
   The most beautiful line as I felt in your mail is the following statement even though the mail as a whole was much informative.

  But then instead of saying that "Hence it looks like a short-cut", I would say that "Hence it is a short cut". Anyway that is a perspective difference that we can discuss in the course of this discussion and reach a mutual settlement - two of us might be seeing the partial truth, who knows, learning together many new ideas and realizations may strike us. And as a student of LK system for long you are my senior in this LK review, and being the beginner from the blank slate and open for any new ideas and realizations regarding this system.
   But since my spring board and known system is AIA I would start from there than going to palmistry or phrenology and trying to start from there. Rather that would be my ending (or unending) points - the threads I may keep open for the future study. 
  Note: I am missing our dear Kulbir ji a lot in these discussions. I hope he will become active and share his understanding about this system with us pals.

 It will be very helpful, if you and all of us,  summarize the verses with meanings related to only house-planet relationship from standard classical texts (AIA), step by step.

For eg 20th chapter of Sarawali, "graha bhava phal addaya ka kathan" Results of planets in various houses. This types of chapters should be taken and discussed whenever we want to compare with LK. We will find many similarities.

Pakka Ghar no.5, Lal Kitab - 1952, page 68-69 continued...

Dear Members,

In continuation of House number 5, i am adding the text from LK-52, Pakka ghar 5, page 68-69. 

गुरु टेवे में जब तक उम्दा औलाद दुखी न होती हो.

Guru ṭēvē mēṁ jaba taka umdā aulāda dukhī na hōtī hō. 

पांच पापी गुरु मंदा टेवे बिजली चमक आ देती हो.

Pān̄ca pāpī guru mandā ṭēvē bijalī camaka ā dētī hō

Till Jupiter is good , children will not suffer.

Papi = RKS (rahu-ketu-saturn) in 5H and Jupiter is malefic, it will act as an electric lightening of storm.

 

शनि शुक्कर या दो कोई मंद बिजली कड़कती मंदी हो.

 Śani śukkara yā dō kō'ī manda bijalī kaṛakatī mandī hō.

If saturn, venus or both is malefic, it will act as a thunder lightening storm. 

As stated in the LK on same page : 

1) If in 5H there is venus + sun or only sun or only jupiter than in varshphal whenever RKS or venus comes in House no. 1 at that time health will be weak (native get sick \ ill).

2) If RKS or venus+mercury is in 5H than in varshphal whenever sun or jupiter comes in House no.1 than health will become weak and will not recover till next child birth. 

चन्द्र भला तो चमक हो उम्दा असर हालत दो जल्दी हो.

Candra bhalā tō camaka hō umdā asara hālata dō jaldī hō.

If moon is benign than at earliest, it will convert lightening into a sparkle. [ie storm of above will turn into nice bright soothing weather.]

I think 5H indicate own's health, so if saturn or venus or both are weak than owns health will fall but if moon is good than recovery of health will be very fast.
 

वजह चमक घर तीसरे होगी कड़क निसानी ग्यारह हो.

Vajaha camaka ghara tīsarē hōgī kaṛaka nisānī gyāraha hō.

The reasons for shining \ lightening will be 3H and symptoms of thunder from 11H.

Again meaning of above verse  is not clear and i think we must remind the verse " उम्र पहली हों ग्यारह शक्की ग्रह तीजे जब मंदा हों ". 

तीन खाली घर आठ से पड़ती उलट हालत पड़े आठ पे हो.

Tīna khālī ghara āṭha sē paṛatī ulaṭa hālata paṛē āṭha pē hō.

Empty 3H is makes 8H fall and vice versa ?

This text is unclear. It needs more elaboration.

Again this above both verses are related to health and 3H and 8H are related to cause of death.

Remind the verse " मौत रुकेगी आठ से उठती बैठा तीजे ख्वाह केसा हों"  

घर ३-४ या ९ हो मंदा बुरा असर ५ देता हो.

Ghara 3-4 yā 9 hō mandā burā asara 5 dētā hō.

If 3H,4H or 9H is malefic than 5H will give negative results.

६-१० वें ख्वाह दोस्त उसका शत्रु जहरी आ होता हो.

6-10 Vēṁ khvāha dōsta usakā śatru jaharī ā hōtā hō.

Planets in 6H or 10H even if friends will act as poisonous enemies.

अपना लिखा अहवाल आइन्दा गुरु रवि से चलता हो.

Apanā likhā ahavāla ā'indā guru ravi sē calatā hō.

Owns future events (destiny), Jupiter moves as per sun.

केतु भला तो सब कुछ उम्दा राहू मन्दे सब उलट हो.

Kētu bhalā tō saba kucha umdā rāhū mandē saba ulaṭa hō.

If Ketu is nice than everything is marvelous, if Rahu is malefic than all is reversed.

Lal Kitab and Traditional astrology & its relationship

Hare Rama Krsna,

//how did you came to the conclusion that “Lal Kitab belongs as a part to ancient Vedic Indian astrology†? //

Your query is still unclear,  that :

1) Do you want to say LK system is imported from foreign country, it is not from Indian\Vedic origin.

2) If it is not a part on various Astrological system generated in our vedic culture,  such as Nadis, Brighu , etc, why LK uses Niryana calculation while erecting the horoscope.
If it is the part of Western  \ Arabic system than Sayana horoscope should have been used, Rahu- Ketu should have been ignored.

3) Do you want to say that it is different from Parashari or its related system of astrology, we all agree on it that it depends on much more simplified principle as said in the Text Farman - 2, Lk-42 page 1 :
" sirf pakke ghar 12 akhir leti grah 9 se kismat bata deti ".
It does not adhere to additional complexities of Parashara system.
We cannot mix Parashara and LK at every instance. We have to see where Parashara principle is coherent with LK.
Still this system is not easy as many more additionals is also required to used LK system as whole as stated in the text :
"Fakt Rekha, Photo, ya Kote se kundli, janam-maiy chandra bana deti hai"

"फक्त रेखा , फोटो या कोठे से कुंडली , जनम -मय चन्द्र बना देती है."

Still my basic opinion is that initially we must keep distance with all other systems of horoscope analysis including Parashara to understand and grasp the finer points of LK.

In some Nadis, like Bruhath Nadi,  even more simplified form is used, they do not consider 'Ascendant' and rely only on the fixed Karakatatwa of the planet, still there prediction are many times comes miraculous.

For example for profession they take Saturn, the causative planet for Karma, as the main planet.
By taking the position of saturn as well as its association with other causative planet or planets in 3,5,7,9,11 house position from Saturn, can give a clear picture about profession. No Ascendant required.

Just I want to say that this system also a sectoral form of Parashara \ Varahmihra system at large, and it not out of its principle.

After going through studies of various classic, respected G.K. Goel Sahab made the inference that this LK system could be much more older than Parashara \ Varahmihra system. May be these traditional system would have advanced later on.
 
I hope i have made the views very clear, still any doubts persist i will try to clarify my point.

I am producing commentary on the Pakka Ghar no.5, Lal Kitab 1942, page 21. 


घर ५ वां  है  ज्ञान गुरु का तेज तपस्या होता है.

House fifth is the place of wisdom of preachers and aura of austerities.

हवा, रोशनी, लकड़े, पोते,  वक़्त आइन्दा होता है.

Air, light, sons, grandsons,  future time.

औलाद, जनम ता उम्र बुढ़ापा,  महल बचत औलाद के है.

It indicate time span from birth of child to own's old age, Children house\assets and savings.  

पाचो ही इन्द्री, हाजमा  उसका,  गर्मी, शोहरत, नेकी है.

All five senses, digestion, energy, fame, righteousness.

अक्ल, ज्ञान, समझ हो साया   इल्म, सबर-ईमान भी है.

Intelligence, Wisdom, Understanding, Skillfulness, Patience, Honesty.

  

पैवंदी जो पौधे गिने तो, खाली जगह दर ऊँगली है.

Plant which sprout from stem, gap between fingers.

रोशनी पक्की घर पहले की, हवा अच्छी घर ५ वें है.

1H is fixed house of Sun, 'Hawa' Jupiter is good in 5H.

दोनों पक्की, इस जा इक्कठी, दीवार मशरिकी कुंडली है.
Both are fixed house, if are joint, also indicate eastern side wall.
Both above verses needs more explanation.

उम्र औलाद, तो सेहत अपनी, घर ५ वें से लेते है.

Age of child, Owns health, is taken from this house.

Please note Health of the Native is also considered from this house.

घर ३-९ या ४ हों मंदे, असर बुरा ५ गिनते है.

If 3-9 or 4 is malefic than 5H results are turn into malefic.

रवि, गुरु, दोनों से कोई,  घर १० वें जा बैठा हो.

५ वें घर ख्वाह दोस्त इसका,  जहरी दुश्मन होता है.

If either of Sun or Jupiter is in 10H than even friend in 5H will act as enemy.

रवि, गुरु, और राहू केतु, कही भी इसके बैठे हो.

फल वैसे ही घर ५ वें के, उस टेवे में होते है.

Sun, Jupiter and Rahu, Ketu, sitting anywhere in the horoscope,

They will modify the results of 5H.

Pakka Ghar no.4, Lal Kitab - 1942 page 20 : Types of Profession

For 4H  if we re-read the text we can find few indication which can turn into there profession as mentioned below:

1) 'Bajaji' : Cloth merchant.

2) 'Charinde' : Animal husbandry

3) 'Dudh pilate'  : Milk Diary and its related product.

4) 'Pani ke janwar'  : Fishery

5) "samudra par safar " : Business related to long sea journeys.

6) 'Dharti', 'chawal' : Agriculturist especially related to rice or those agricultural product which requires lots of water.

7) 'Ruhani Karobar' : saints, ashram, yoga & meditation.

8) 'Ghoda' : Horse related business, transportation.

These are few major items....for  more pl. go through the text.

लाल किताब -1952- page 66-67: पक्का  घर  नंबर. 4.

पाप बैठे घर चंदर माता    बुध शनि दो उम्दा हो 

Paap baithe ghar chander mata   budh sani do umda ho

Rahu\ketu is in house of moon than Mercury, Saturn will be benefic in 2nd House.

आठ,तीजे,6 टेवे मंदा   मौत बहाना चौथा हो 

Aath, teeje, 6 tewe manda  mauth bahana chautha ho.

8, 3, 6H if manda than 4H will be the cause of death.

तख्त पावे जब चौथा टेवे   राहु मंदा खुद होता हो 

Takth pauwe jab chauthe tewe  rahu manda khud hota ho.

When planet in 4H move in 1H in varshphal than rahu  itself will become weak (manda)

मुट्ठी चंदर 8-11 बैठे अकेला चौथे न मंदा हो

Mutti chander 8-11 baithe akela chautha na manda ho.

If moon is situated outside the kendre even if it is weak in 8H or 11H than , any single planet in 4H will have benefic result.

4 समुंदर ग्रह 9 नाभि   मुर्दा  कोई नहीं रखता हो
तीनो \ मित्र ग्रह नर शरण माता की   पेट अंदर कुल पलता हो 

4 samunder grah 9 nabhi  murda koi nahi rakta ho

teeno\ mitra grah nar sharan mata ki  pait ander kul palta ho.

In the ocean of 4H all nine planets gets nourishment\ feeding like a child in a womb of mother,

Sun, Mars and Jupiter are three male planets and these planets consider moon as their friend.

Moon’s friends are Saturn and Mercury, only Rahu and ketu are enemies. If Rahu and Ketu shows enmity with moon they themselves will be destroyed. [Venus = Masnui Rahu + Ketu consider moon as enemy]

One more view on this stanza :

If the 4th house is taken to mean an ocean, then the 9th house will be the naabhi [pivot].

Since the 4th house is 8th from the 9th, the planets placed in the 9th will have conflict with those placed in the 4th [takkar marenge]. Therefore if the planets placed in the 9th are friends of the Moon [specially the male planets] then no harm will come to the 4th house and it will be reared with all motherly love  like a foetus in the mother's womb [ pet andar kul palta ho] i.e. the jatak will be nourished and he will flourish.

In case the planets in the 9th house are hostile to the Moon then the foetus might be harmed so much so that it might be expelled [murda  koi nahi rakhta ho]. The ocean throws up the dead onto the shore. This means that the jatak could be left uncared for and struggle in life.



"जब वह दुश्मनी  करें,यानि जब तक राहु केतु [मुतालिका आशिया] जिन्दा  होंगे नेक फल देंगे वर्ना खुद बर्बाद हो जायेंगे "
' jab voh dushmani karen, yani jab tak rahu ketu [mutaliqa ashiya] jinda honge nek phal denge varna khud barbad ho jayenge'
So long as the  karak objects  of Rahu and Ketu are alive they will give benefic results, if they turn to enemity [ jab voh dushmani karen]  then they themselves will perish {as said by Varun ji}

I am posting commentary on the 4H in Lal kitab, in continuation of the series of LK- Pakka ghar.

लाल किताब -1942- page 20: पक्का  घर  नंबर. 4.

चौथे चंदर को पेट माता और    ठंडी रोशिनी माना है.

Chauthe chander ko peat mata aur   thandi roshini mana hai.

In 4H moon, is womb of mother, light with absence of heat

Here in first line author indicate that moon and 4H are synonym.

‘Thandhi roshini’ means that knowledge, which give peace and prosperity.

चार तरफ का पानी दुनिया   दूध,समुंदर दरिया है.

Char taraf ka pani duniya  dudh, samunder dariya hai.

Water bodies (natural) present at all direction on earth, milk, ocean, and rivers.

It clearly says that any pond, lake, river or ocean, which are natural in nature, signifies 4H or moon.

दिल,सफ़र,माता,धरती,घोड़ा, तरफ शुमाली-मशरिक है.

Dil, safar, mata, dharti, ghoda,  taraf shumali-mashrif hai

Heart, travel, mother, earth, horse, north-east side direction.

चरिंदे,चावल,दूध पिलाते,  बजाजी,मुर्गे-आबी है.

Charinde, chawal, dudh pilate,  bajaji, murge-aabhi hai.

Herbivorous animals, rice, drinking milk, dealer of cloths, (murge-aabhi) : bird which live on water.

I think author says all milk producing animals (mammals) but mainly domestic in nature.

तहरीर दौलत या वक़्त जवानी,  रंग गिना है चांदी का.

Tahreer daulat ya waqt jawani,  rang gina hai chaandi ka.

It signifies: Wealth written in destiny, youthful time, colour is of silver.

Here authors says that the fortune which rises from 9H like a cloud and strike at 2H mountain than wealth at hand (i.e. Liquidity) in the form of rain come in 4H.

Tahreer : It also means Handwriting.

अनबिध मोती,घर माता का,  रस होता है शांति का 

Anbidh moti, ghar mata ka,  ras hota hai shanti ka.

It signifies : Uncollected natural pearls without holes, house of mother, taste of satisfaction & peace.

झुकाओ तबियत,फर्श मकाना,  ताल्लुक गिनते है मर्दों का 

Jhukawo tabiyat, farsh makana,  talluk ginte hai mardo ka.

It signifies: natural temprament of native, floor of house, and relationship with males.

चक्कर,संख,सदफ हो पोरी,  निशान भी लेते है वह जौं का

Chakker, sankh, sadaf ho pori,  nishan bhi lete hai va joo ka.

In Fingers tip it signifies: Whorls, Loops, Arches & small Islands (at phalanges joints).

राहु-केतु घर चौथे में,  पाप से हर दम डरते है.
तारे ख्वाह न तारे मर्जी,  कसम पाप की करते है.

Rahu-Ketu ghar chauthe mein,  paap se har dem darte hai.

Tare khwah na tare marji,  kasam paap ki karte hai.

In 4H, rahu, ketu does not do any maleficence. They may not be beneficial, but they swear to keep silence and not to do any wrong deed.

ग्रह चौथे रात को जगे,  या जगे वह मुसीबत में .
मदद कोई न हो जब करता, आ तारें वह बुढ़ापे  में.

Grah chauthe raat ko jage,  ya jage vah musibat mein.

Madadd koi na ho jab karta, aa taren vah budhape mein

Any planet, which comes in this house, will have the temperament of moon.

But the result of this planet will go to house as per the Saturn position in the chart.

The effect of planet posited in house no 4 will be seen on house where Saturn is posited. and the nature of the effect on that house will be as per the nature of moon  as per its placement in the horoscope [as said by Nirmal ji].

For eg : The rationale of Half-blind horoscopes seems to be that Sun in the 4^th (Foundation of 10th) "gets the temper of the Moon, but its effect goes to the house where Saturn is placed", which in this case is the 7th, where Sun is debilitated. [as said by Finn ji]

Dharmi Tewa or Pious Horoscope In lal kitab

" This story, if true, is a perfect example of Dharmi Tewa, don't you think?"

Dharmi Tewa don't indicate  enlighten souls, nor a parameter to says that these combination make sure to get enlightenment.

The main theme is very simple in LK:
1) Moon represent heart and emotion and Ra\Ke signifies  excited or depress state of emotions.
So moon + ra\ke makes the person,  who can easily able  to control emotion as per their wish, if they practice for it.
For eg. in a good psychologist charts you can find this yoga easily. But negatively these combination creates fear and phobias.

2) Saturn works as an executor of law of Karma, Jupiter signifies truth. If saturn has relationship with jupiter, person attains very good discriminating power under natural law of justice.
Saturn + Jupiter is Brahma yoga in traditional astrology which means that person has the ability to forsee past, present & future.
In many successful person this i have seen this yoga because they put proper justice to the work they undertake (especially if it is in 10H). If we focus the house and other combination we can know where this Brahma yoga is working. Negatively this yoga creates power seekers.

If both these condition are met in the horoscope, there is a chance that person can attain spiritual enlightenment naturally with less efforts, which is the main purpose of birth.  Person is inherently fit in the qualification required as per Patanjali Sutras.
Even if person is honest and truthful towards its actions, he is sure to rise at soul level.

The text from LK-52 page 43, under heading Dharmi Grah,

"yaani agar rahu ketu khana number 4 yaan chandra ke saath kissi bhi ghar ho Aur (2)(second condition) sanichar khana number 11 yaan brihaspat ke saath kissi bhi ghar mein ho, to aise teve mein paap(rahu ketu) yaan paapi (sanichar rahu ketu) dono ka hi bura assar na hoga aur sab grah dharmi honge"

All paapi will  become Dharmi if both condition satisfies, the word in conjuction in hindi is used 'AUR'.

In Farmaan no. 14 Lk-52 page 227 under heading Tewe ki kisme (Types of horoscopes):

11 sani ho ya saath guru ho  paap chander 10 chauthe ho

Pichle janam ka sadhu hoga  dharmi tewa sukh dewe jo.


In the above verse it is clear, 
I) Saturn in 11H or with Jupiter, 
II) Ra\Ke with Moon or in 10-4 house axis.
Person will be saint in past birth hence chart will be Dharmi tewe (pious chart).

Lal Kitab 1942 page 43 :

Rahu-ketu Khana .........AUR sanichar khana number 11........

Agar rahu ketu khana number 4 ya chander ke saath kisi bhi ghar ho AUR agar sanichar khana number 11 ya brishpati ke saath kisi bhi ghar mein ho to uus tewe mein paap ve paapi dono ka hi bura asar na hoga aur saab dharmi grah hoge.
If Ra\Ketu in 4H or with moon in any house AND if saturn in 11H or with jupiter in any house than RKS will be good and all planets will be Dharmi (Religious, truthful, pious).

This above verse very clearly states that both condition must be fulfilled.

I think there could be major misconception among many astrologers that either of the condition will make the chart a Dharmi chart.

But in my understanding it will be NOT appropriate to take 'either condition of rahu and moon or saturn and jupiter' as explained above by me or if you think logically otherwise.

Not accepting Donations : LK jupiter in 5H & Ketu in 11H.

Mahajan ji told the basic logic to me to write as an reply to the query. I had elaborately tried to explain it.

For Jupiter in 5H and ketu in 11H.
The logic as per lalkitab :
1)  Ketu signifies alms, donations, money interest taking  etc. Begging means to bring ketu to neecha (in LK neecha means malefic)  status. Ketu represent Son in LK.

2) 11H : 'har tarah ki kamai jiss mein tamam gharo ka asar samil hai Lk-41 pg 10'. It is the house of income where all planets will give as per their nature. Saturn is lord and justice here.

3) 5H :  It represent 'Aulad narina' : children especially son,' pota' : grandson,  'aulad ka dan dualat kismat' : wealth & fate of children, 'aulad ka sukh' : happines from children, 'akl ve ilm' : knowlede and skills, sohrat :  fame, etc.

Ketu is in Pakka ghar of jupiter in 11H and jupiter is also in the pakka ghar in 5H.

So LK says : LK-52 page 273 : " dharam ke naam per mang khana ya daan lena lawaldi aur bager kafan marne ki pehli nishani hogi, bacche murda lash bankar paida honge"

If native accept alms \ donation in the name of God, especially cheating (is ketu in LK) in the name of God, the native will not have children. Children will born dead. When native will die their will be no son for his last rites. (Ketu will become neecha ie son will die.)
for eg. Person who ask money in the name of Gurudwara, temple but they keep it for them self is cheating. Asking money for puja but not doing puja, etc. their generation will not grow.

So in this logic their is no role of Rahu therefore Lk does not considered this result for rahu + jupiter in 5H.

Pakka Ghar no.1, LK-42 page 11-12

Pakka GharNumber 1 : Fix house number one.[ lk-42 pg 11-12]

Ghar pehla hai takht hajari, grah phal raja kundli ka .

Jyotish mein ise lagan bhi kehate, jhagra manushya hai maya ka.

Purab taraf pakka ghar suraj, per upkar chavanni ka.

Vajud,makan, ruh, namak bhi, ginte, jaman ahaal kamai ka.

Chardiwari te ke ghose, singh mavesi khadeho jo ki.

Raj talluk, Rang gur ka, Rasm purani, saaj safar ho.

Jilli-jherjo paida hoge, naam hasiyat duniyalege.

Pehla ghar sara takth gina to, 7va rakne ki dharti ho.

Meaning :

• House no. 1 is throne of king and 7^th house is platform of throne.
• Here sun is of grah phal, east side and Pakka ghar of sun.
• It is called as lagan in traditional jyotish, indicating struggle between man and nature or a spectators of conflict between soul and illusion.
• Philanthropic but of ¼ strength.
• Significance of Individuality, own made house, soul, salt and status of income.
• Surrounded by four wall [As seen in diamond shape chart ie 12^th ,2^nd ,3^rd ,& 4^th house].
• Signifies animals who has straight horns.
• Signifies links with government, color is like Gur (country sugar, brownish yellow),
• Old tradition, things needed in traveling.
• Animals which takes direct birth from womb, (like mammals category not from egg),
• Signifies name, dignity, status of the native.

A) Inference :Above is clear, the importance of 7^th house is said here, that with the help of 7^th house, 1^st house will be at stability.

Saal 24se jitne aage, dusman grah us aatha ho.

Takkar aisi us grah hogi, aage na vo chalta ho,

Meaning :

• If 7^th house is empty, than from 24yrs throne will be reverse.
• After 24^th yrs every time if enemy come in throne than they will be destroyed by strike that they will not move forward.

B) Inference : If 7H is empty which enemy planets and what will they do after 24 yrs? Last line is not clear `aage na vo chalta ho' ?

Takkar aisi us grah hogi, aage na vo chalta ho,
Though not clear but i can persume that this is referring to the situation when
khana no 7 is vacant and any planet who is enemy of planet no 1 when comes at
khana No 1 may feel this wrath. But in my view this condition will prevail only
from 25th year upto the end of 27th year.
The term aagen na vo chalta ho means (in my opinion) the planets being
destroyed(Nashta).

Lagan agar khud khali hove, kismat sath na aayi ho.

Kismat uski saatve baithee, ya ghar chauthe 10ve ho.

Mutti keghar charo khali, 9-3-11-5ve ho.

Yeh ghar bhi gar khali hove, 2-6-12-8ve ho.

• If 1^st H is empty than native is deprived of luck from birth, than
• Look planets of luck in the sequence which is also know as mutti ke khana , 7^th house, or 4^th H , 10^th house, if all empty, than
• Look the sequence 9-3-11-5, if these are also empty than
• Look the sequence 2-6-12-8^th H, the planet of luck will be that planet which is exalted, rasi lord, or Qayam.

C) Inference :Here method is given to find kismat ka grah, the planet which is most qayam will wake up the fortune of the native as per given sequence.

Kismat ka vah malik hoga, baithe takth per uske ho.

Ghar pehla jab raj hukumat, saat(7H) vasir hi hota hai.

Har dose koi dusman hove, saat (nearby) fakiri hota hai.

Uuch neech ghar ke jo dusman hove, vah nahi en gharo ladte hai.

Baaki grah sab jhagra karte, umar se bhi vah marte hai.

• Planet will be lord of fortune who sits in the 1 H,
• 1^st H is ruler and 7^th H is Minister, if there is enemy in between than saat fakiri hota hai. Planets does not fight which are exalted and debilitated in these both house, rest planets fight each other and dies as per age of planets.

D) Inference: Planet which is in 1H the ruler and 7H the minister.

My understanding about these lines are:

Here sun and Saturn will not fight in 1 & 7H, rest enemy planets will fight.

My understanding about these lines are:

There are simple rules of lal kitab which apply here.
Rule says
 if the planet(b) being aspected is the enemy of planet(a) that aspect it, then b will not allow a to transfer the effect of a to the house in which b is posited. 'b' will prefer to take the effect of 'a' on its own even in this process 'b' may get destroyed. So if planets in 1st and 7th are enemy then the war between the two will damage the effect of both the planet.
Regarding "Umar se bhi marte hain"
Let me illustrate the lines word by word
oonch (exalted-Sooraj(1), Saturn(7)) neech(Debilitated-Shani(1),Sooraj(7)),Ghar ke(Mangal(1), Shukkar(7), Budh(7) jo giney hain, ..........
Baaqi grah ( Remaining Planets are Brihaspat, Rahu, Ketu,Moon) sab jhagda karte.....
When ever there are more than two planets having the remaining planets amongst them  in house no 1 and one of the remaining planets in 7th then this condition will prevail.
When we study the remaining chapters the concept will become more clear.

• Decision or suggestions will be of majority except king, if total 3 sits but total count will be four.

than till age of mercury 34 (pakka ghar 7H) ketu is destroyed ie son will not take birth, and if till age 48 (ketu's age) second son takes birth than mercury is destroyed ie daughter will face lots of difficulties.

Look 7H is destroyed where wife and daughter both luck is present."7ve iski aurat, beti,  budh, sukkar do baithee hai"[ketu is friend to venus also].I think concept is very clear in the book.

Relation between house & planets; Lal-kitab

Ghar kab raddi hoga iska lekh Arman no. 108 pg 66 LK 40 mein darj hai.

Title :
"Rasiyo ke bager sirf graho se hi har khana ka asar dekhne ka dang.

Har khana number mein us jagah diye hua graho ka juda juda asar dekege, jaise bhi ve asar hove vese hi us graho ka dia hua khana per ka hoga."

Please note that the table given in above Lk 40 page 66 differs from the table mentioned in LK41-pg 380.

For example: [LK40 pg 66] for house number 1 , mercury, sun, mars, sani is considered here, it means the position and status of these four planets (as seperately anywhere ) will say the status of house number 1.
Now in [LK41 pg 380] sun and mars jointly in any house will confer the status of house number 1.

Masnui concept in Lal kitab (artificial planets)

Lets start discussion with the Concept of Masnui Planets:

The Masnui planets are formed as per LK-1941 page 392 is as under :

1) Masnui Jupiter (khali hawai) : sun + venus

2) Masnui Sun : mercury + venus

3) Masnui Moon : sun + jupiter

4) Masnui Venus (khali hawai) : rahu + ketu

5) Masnui Mars Nek : sun + mercury

6) Masnui Mars badh : sun + saturn

7) Masnui Mercury : jupiter + rahu

8) Masnui Saturn like Ketu : venus + jupiter

9) Masnui Saturn like Rahu Manda : mars + mercury

10) Masnui Rahu Uccha : mars + saturn

11) Masnui Rahu Neech : sun + saturn

12) Masnui Ketu Uccha : venus + Saturn

13) Masnui Ketu Neecha : moon + Saturn

A) We must note that Masnui Jupiter and Masnui Venus is “Khali Hawai”

It indicate artifical thoughts, Jupiter thoughts are related to spiritual level whereas venus thoughs are related to material realms.

B) We must note that Masnui Saturn itself behave like ketu and like rahu manda, but when natal Saturn joins with either mars, sun, venus or moon, it become Masnui rahu and Masnui ketu.

This shows the closeness of “Papi Grahs” (Lk-41,pg 6)” and their interchangeable nature. Saturn is Munsif (who records judgement) and Rahu & Ketu is Paap. Rahu , Ketu can have the nature of Saturn but not the power of Saturn.(Lk-41 pg 300 line 1-5).

C) Rahu and Ketu are “Paap Grahs” and this two planets is controlled by Jupiter , but Jupiter itself influenced and disturbed by mercury (LK-1941,pg 4, line7-10, also see pg 307 line 11-13).

D) It must be also noted that when Saturn joins with Jupiter in the natal chart all other planets becomes Dharmi grah ie all Papi Grah will not do any mischievous.

E) Masnui Venus : in which fight and mockery of Rahu and mischievous enjoyment of ketu (sex for enjoyment without children) is included (lk-41, pg 307)

This line indicates how component in Masnui planet is working.

G) Lk-41, pg 386 line 1-4 : When Jupiter is in Khana no. 9 than lord of Khana no. 12 will be Rahu but if Jupiter is NOT in Khana no. 9 & 12 than Lord of Khana no. 12 will be Mansui Mercury ( = Rahu + Jupiter).

This line indicates the relationship with house. planet and its masnui concept.

H) Lk-41, pg 380 : It says that

1)Venus + Jupiter will affect the results of Khana no 2,

2)Sun + Jupiter will affect the result of Khana no 5,

3)Mars + mercury will affect the results of Khana no. 3,

4)Venus + mercury will affect the results of khana no. 7,

5)Mars + Saturn + moon will affect the results of khana no. 8.

It says that above Masnui will bring changes or affect the respective houses.

For eg Venus + Jupiter is Masnui Saturn like ketu nature, so this combination will affect the Khana number 2 i.e. we should focus on the matters related to in-laws family (2H).

maslan guru shukra ab inme khana no 2 saajha hai isliye yeh apna apna phal dene ke saath no2 ko bhi affect karenege apni placement ke hisaab se nek ya manda jo bhi.

doosra guru shukra kahi bhi saath hot to ab shani ka phal hamen ketu ki nek ya buri placement ke hisaab se nek ya bura milega.

have got stuck is the first reference of Masnoi's in 1940 book.
I have given many other references from the book try to go through these
also to have a proper understanding.

Another reference is on page 173 of 1942 edition.

Budh (raat din mushtarqa) mauton ka dalal hoga.

This is not the only one. There are a few other such combinations which are not added in the Masnuyee list

[1] Sun + Venus = mercury “ dono grah [sooraj aur shukra] ke milap se budh paida hoga†[page 798; 1952 Urdu ed]

[2] Mercury + Ketu = Venus “ shukra ke do juz yani budh ketu mane gaye hain†[page 582; 1952 Urdu ed]

[3] Mercury + Moon = Saturn [manda] “ duniyavi haal manda hi hoga, dono mushtarka mande shanishchar ka phal denge†[page 837; 1952 Urdu ed]

I do not remember the exact page number but I have also read the following:

[a] Mars + Jupiter = possibility of Mercury

[b] Sun + Ketu = possibility of Mercury

[c] Mars + Ketu = possibility of mercury

Many interesting things are going to come in e.g.
When we talk of Mercury masnoi; the only thing that strikes the mind is Guru + Rahu; Similarly Rahu (neech) = Sun + Saturn.
BUT
Explanation on page 205 of 1940 reads as follows " Sooraj Sanichar mushtarqa = Budh hoga, jisme Rahu ki sharat ka subhao(v) hoga.
Interesting ; Isn't it.
I again beg of you; please don't rush. Haste only leads to waste. Lets make efforts to understand the subject matter in totality. I have nothing personal against you. It's only your insistence may I say obstinate attitude for piecemeal solutions that sometimes irritates me.

few additions from my side.

Phal and swabhav are totally different things, like greh phal and rashi phal.
phal are related to greh phal waley sitarey and swabhav is rashi phal waley
sitarey.

like, shani no 8 uska phal neech hoga (accident etc),

shani no 5 uska swabhav neech hoga (phal nahin) (bachey khaney wala saanp) here
it is refereed as child eater snake i.e. it can eat childs, parento yehin pey
agar ek akeli nar santaan ho to wohi saanp andah hoga.

shani no 10 uska swabhav unch hoga here it ready to give every thing to jatak
depending upon his efforts but it does not promise of every thing to jatak.

where as in house no 6 uska phal neech hoga this will definatly attack house no
6.

and same for house no 3, yehan per weh jatak to nirdhan aur kangaal karega hi.

5) Masnui Mars : aulad jinda rakne ka malik, bel sabsi ka malik(lord-signifies for longevity of child, vegetable which grows on 'Bhel' like plants)
6) Masnui Mercury : Ijjat sohrat (reputation and status)
7) Masnui Saturn : sakth bimari ( Hard disease)
8) Masnui Rahu : jhagre fasad ( enmity,conflicts)
9) Masnui Ketu : eash ka malik ( lord-signifies of enjoyment)
